Bicycle Film Fest

We will be showing some bicycle related films tomorrow night at the Spotlight Theater. Ride your bikes downtown and come hang out! One of the films specially will be a documentary of the Martin Luther King REC center kids playing Bike Polo. Jeff Nachtigal, a local video journalist has been working diligently on filming and editing live footage to make this film possible. Don't miss out!

Ride of Silence - Wednesday May 18th, 2011



Have you or anyone you know been a victim of an automobile related accident on a bicycle? Come honor fallen cyclists and join us on Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 on the Ride of Silence. The ride leaves from the Town & Country Shopping Center located on Gosford Rd & Stockdale Hwy at 7PM.

BIKE TO WORK WEEK - - COMMUTER STANDS



Monday // May 16th, 2011


In honor of Bike To Work week, we will be have commuter stands with free water, snacks, and gatorades. The commuter stand will be located on the bike path (beach park) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. Come by and hang out on your way to work!

To sum it all up, the two day Bike Festival this weekend was successful! 

Thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the festival. Also, special thanks to our wonderful volunteers, sponsors and supporters; This event would not have been possible without you folks!

We are in need of Volunteers for our Bicycle Festival that is coming up next weekend! As you may already know, many of our events are community based; and these events are made possibly by our wonderful volunteers. This Tuesday, we will have a volunteer meeting to discuss our festival. There will be pizza and a free volunteer shirt for those who attend and plan on volunteering. OPEN SPRINTS (GOLD SPRINTS)


We now have our very own gold sprints rig! Tomorrow, May 6th, 2011, we will be at Downtown Bakersfield's First Fridays. We will be in the Wall street alley hosting Gold Sprints (Open Sprints) for FREE! So don't miss out! Come out and have a good time!
