To all whom came to our 5th Annual Bike Bakersfield Downtown Crit, we are Grateful to you!
First off I'd like to thank our Mayor, Harvey Hall, for taking the time, out of his busy schedule, to spend his morning at our event. The "May is Bike Month in Bakersfield" proclamation & presentation by Mayor Hall, was a great way for us, at Bike Bakersfield, to promote and celebrate May, which is "National Bike Month", and our series of May event's.
Bike Bakersfield will host and promote a series of events throughout our different programs. "Walk and Roll Week", is a "Safe Routes To School" event, beginning May 3-7, rewarding kids in target schools, for ridding or walking to school. The May 1 Downtown Criterium is but another event and we greatly appreciate your participation and support, whether spectator, sponsor, supporter, racer, or volunteer, we would not have the success and enjoyment we receive from this celebration without you!
