Auto-Centric Los Angeles making changes
When one thinks of Los Angeles many things come to mind:
Hollywood, palm tree boulevards, Southern California beaches, etc. But when it
comes to transportation there are a few things we know: Large freeways, bad air
pollution, and road gridlock. However recent efforts among bicycle advocates
and political figures show a change in the way this auto-dominated landscape is
planning for its transportation future. Here is a highlight of the efforts
being undertaken in the Los Angeles basin to show what possibilities exists
when people change their mentalities with transportation.
