ALL CYCLISTS !!! This is it; Our CHAMPIONSHIP Time Trial. There will be lots of awards given out for this one. Our usual age group awards, our fastest series male/female award, Award for the course record holder, and we are doing an opportunity drawing for a $500 ACTION SPORTS gift certificate. ***WE ARE ALSO OFFERING a $50 B*O*U*N*T*Y on the overall course record (28:26) the Tandem record (30:05) and the fixed gear record (32:38) In the event that more than one person breaks the record, cash purse goes to the fastest time.
Team Go Ride Time Trial Championship Award Ceremony and BBQ

When one thinks of Los Angeles many things come to mind: Hollywood, palm tree boulevards, Southern California beaches, etc. But when it comes to transportation there are a few things we know: Large freeways, bad air pollution, and road gridlock. However recent efforts among bicycle advocates and political figures show a change in the way this auto-dominated landscape is planning for its transportation future. Here is a highlight of the efforts being undertaken in the Los Angeles basin to show what possibilities exists when people change their mentalities with transportation.

Great news to all the bicyclists who ride Round Mountain road! 
Last weekend (Sep. 17-18th) they finished repaving Round Mountain road. 
So enjoy the fresh pavement and have a fun ride.

3-2-1 BIKE POLO!



Finally, a long awaited online streaming version of the Bike Polo Documentary produced by Jeff Nachtigal.  Every Thursday, Safe Routes to School coordinators Brian De La Cerda and Jonathan Moo play bike polo with the children and the Martin Luther King Rec center. Over time, Nachtigal produced a documentary on the progress of the sport at the community center.
